Expert to design the need assessment report

The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) is implementing the project “Young people living in difficult situations and at risk of drop out from the secondary education system in the focus of local Social Welfare services” financed by the Italian Government and implemented by UNICEF in Albania. The project aims to develop a new model for social workers working in the targeted municipalities and in other service providers to engage with young people in difficult situations and help them cope with socio-economic challenges, having in consideration the best interests of the child” principle, gender equality and non-discrimination practices.

In the frame of the project, NASW is looking for an expert to design the need assessment report that will identify the barriers and gaps for social workers in personal and institutional level, when dealing with young people in difficult situation and address their needs for capacity building.

Duties and deliverables

The Expert will be specifically tasked with the following:

• Create a visually appealing and professional layout for the report, considering typography, color schemes, and overall design aesthetics.
• Ensure that the layout design aligns with the organization’s branding and style guidelines.
• Organize the report’s content into sections with clear headings and subheadings for easy navigation.
• Format the text, tables, and figures consistently throughout the report.
• Ensure the layout is optimized for both print and digital formats.

Selection criteria

• Prior experience in designing and formatting publications, especially research reports, academic papers, or similar documents.
• Knowledge of how to adhere to and implement organizational or project-specific branding and style guidelines in the report’s layout design.
• Familiarity with various file formats and the ability to prepare the report in multiple formats, including print-ready and digital versions.
  A strong portfolio demonstrating a history of successful publication design projects.
